Anthony G. “Tony” Cahill, Ph.D.
Tony Cahill is Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Development and Disability in the School of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. He is nationally recognized for his work in the areas of evaluation and research methodology; outcomes and performance-based research; the design, implementation and analysis of large-scale mail and telephone surveys; database and decision support system development; and applied statistical analysis.
Dr. Cahill serves on numerous boards and commissions in the field of disability, including serving as Chair of the New Mexico Governor’s Commission on Disability. He co-founded the National Consortium on Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response for People with Disabilities and chaired New Mexico’s task force on incorporating the needs of people with disabilities into state emergency planning.
Dr. Cahill received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Albany, his master's degrees from Colgate University and the University of Pittsburgh, and his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
