Training To Support Independent Living for People with Disabilities
The RTC/IL provides a variety of trainings to enhance the independence of people with disabilities and further encourage the use of our research findings. Formats include workshops, online trainings, graduate and post-graduate courses and other activities.

- Emergency Preparedness Trainings and Resources are designed for a range of audiences, from consumers to first responders.
- Community Living Trainings are offered in relation to our Research and Training Center on Community Living.
- Medicaid Functional Eligibility Instrument (MFEI) training for assessors will be offered through a partnership with KU's Center for Research on Aging and Disability Options.

Graduate Student Training and Employment
KU's Applied Behavioral Science Department offers graduate students specialized research strands in physical disabilities, independent living and other focus areas.
Some paid graduate student assistant positions are available for research projects.
